Biography

FEB 25 - 2016
At just 25 years old, Marcus has become a star player for the England national team and Premier League club Manchester United, with an impressive record of 129 goals in 359 club appearances. Marcus' journey began in Withington, where he joined the Manchester United academy at the age of seven. In February 2016, he made an instant impact, scoring two goals in his first-team debut against Midtjylland and repeating the feat in his Premier League debut against Arsenal just three days later.

He then made history as the youngest English player to score in his first senior international match since 1938. He continued to make headlines by representing England at Euro 2016 as the tournament's youngest player and making a memorable debut at the FIFA World Cup in 2018. In 2020, he celebrated his 200th club appearance with a brace in a 4-0 victory over Norwich City. The following year, at the age of 23, Marcus reached the milestone of 100 career goals while captaining England for the first time, becoming the youngest player to do so since 2004. Marcus' accomplishments include winning the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the FA Community Shield, and the UEFA Europa League.

Beyond his achievements on the pitch, Marcus is committed to using his platform to drive positive change. Launching a program to provide meals to disadvantaged children and forcing the UK government to address child poverty, resulting in a policy change that extended free school meals during the summer holidays. He went on to establish the Child Food Poverty Task Force and partnered with Macmillan Children's Books to create the Marcus Rashford Book Club, which aims to distribute books to 400,000 children who have never owned one.

Recognised by Forbes in their "30 Under 30" list for 2021, Marcus recently embarked on a multi-year partnership with Nike. As Marcus continues to excel on the field, his impact off the field is equally remarkable. In the 22/23 season, he scored a career-best 30 goals, earning him Manchester United's Sir Matt Busby and Player’s ‘Player Of The Year’ awards.
